Look What I Got!

I'm a huge fan of Craigslist.

I'm not necessarily an environmentalist, but why buy new when you can reuse? Especially if the used piece is great quality and a fraction of the price? Well, my latest craigslist purchase can not be found in stores. It was hand-made and is of the highest quality. It looks like something my Grandpa Seymour would make so I'm going to pretend he did :) It's the same wood grandpa uses, the same knobs, and it smells like something he would make.

Here is Macy modeling her new bench.

Isn't it awesome?! I wanted something different to be put in her room. Something that didn't look like I bought it at Target or Ikea. I think I really scored with this. There are no scratches,  nicks, or any marks on it. Look at the detail on the bench.

I love it so much and can picture Macy curled up with a pillow reading her books here.

I love it! So much character. And I love Craigslist too - we buy and sell tons of stuff on there. Hope you guys are doing well!

I haven't commented on your blog in a long time (maybe ever), but I found it a while ago and have been following since. I'm horrible at commenting (so that just means I'm a creepy stalker!).
Anyway, that is such an awesome bench! I love how unique it is. And Macy is so cute!

yeah for great finds on craigslist! it is one of my favorite places to shop - especially here where people don't use things until they are dead (like in provo)! glad that you found me in the blog world!

Very cute Laura! I am so excited you found me! I have another blog that has more family pictures on it, it is http://the-tatesslc.blogspot.com/
And what is your e-mail so I can add you and when you send me questions I can respond. How are you? You look so great, it was really fun hearing from you. I am sure my mom would always like more people's quilts to practice on =) The quilt top I can't remember the name of it, it was in a magazine, but I changed it a little bit. If I find it I'll let you know.
