My kid free visit to Colorado

I had never been to Colorado before so when Stacie had her baby I knew I had to visit. Nothing brings visitors like new babies.

My flight left at 6 a.m. Friday September 20th. I was really glad I didn't have any children with me! I had one layover in Chicago so I enjoyed a peaceful breakfast in a sit down restaurant. Ja was sorry I had a layover and I told him not to worry- I was enjoying it!

I arrived in Denver at 11 a.m. I rented a car and drove off to Arvada to see Stacie, Randy, and little Volcom. I felt so independent  that morning. I drove myself to the airport, flew on a plane by MYSELF, and rented my first car.

Stacie and Randy have such a cute house and of course little Volcom is adorable. We hung out that afternoon and went to a consignment store for kids. That place is a gold mine! I really wish we had one close to us in Virginia.

I got to visit with Lily, Ryan, and Tiffany as well. Bonus! They were down visiting Jeff's parents and stopped by quickly so I could see the kids. Lily seemed like she sort of remembered me and Ryan wasn't sure about me at all. I was able to sneak a picture with Lily.

Friday night we met Tiffany and Jeff for dinner at Texas Roadhouse. I had never been before and it was delicious. I was reminded how easy newborn babies are because Volcom sat in his carseat the entire dinner. After Randy showed me Widespread's very impressive warehouse that his brother designed. It made me want to work there! There is a skatepark on the second level with a disco ball too.

Saturday Randy watched the baby so Stacie, Tiffany, Jeff, and I could go see the movie Austenland. It was a lower budget film and only played in select theaters. Another bonus- is was playing in Westminster! The movie was very funny and I greatly enjoyed it. Almost as much as the book.

Randy then drove us through the town of Golden and then to Boulder. With all the recent floods that hit that area hard I was interested in seeing it. And because I've heard a lot of good things about Boulder. We hit the downtown area and it was very cute and fun. We enjoyed some ice cream and a juggling street performer.

I was impressed with Boulder's city hall. Isn't it beautiful?

I couldn't have asked for better weather that weekend. It was sunny and beautiful. No one would have guessed there was major flooding only a few days before.

I had to take lots of pictures of sweet Volcom. Babies are so precious and perfect. Especially when they are sleeping.

I was very grateful Ja was able to juggle, work, kids, and magic shows so I could enjoy this trip. I got home at midnight Sunday night so he had them for 3 full days.

This was the girls Sunday night. When Ja sent me this picture I really missed them but could tell they were happy.
